Outside, noisy crickets,
washed in still waters of air,
play Adagio in tedium.
These are the hushed gifts
to a moon long departed
from the warm lips
of the copper band horizon.
Here’s to those,
who halt the night’s cold progression,
by handing out blankets,
for a smile and nothing more.
A reflection,
of quiet things,
in this room I am all that stirs
aside from red needles,
spinning endlessly.
My breathing lengthens,
to the confidence I hold,
in the arms of slumber.

i with brown skin
"who stands tall
and speaks wide"
"Her body is like new brown bread
Under the Woolworth mignonette.
Her Body is a honey bowl
Whose waiting honey is deep and hot.
Her body is like summer earth,
Receptive,soft and absolute..."

You should see if you can send it to the Big Issue (Im sorry if sounds condesending or anything harmful, its not meant to sound like that)
I like this poem, ive just been reading about a character in one of my books (named Alizarin in case you were interested) who goes blind after being left on the street - he was once famous and the book was about the fact that people despised him when he became one of them......
I love your poem, its about people with glowing hearts that make all the difference... a smile can so much more than a speach - so why am i still yabbering on...................................... ....
i'm ok now though
